Denis TORRES is the venezuelan president of the non profit foundation Andigena, whose mission is the conservation
of the biodiversityin the Andean region and particularly the protection of spectacled bears.

The Oso Andino project allows to estimate the situation of spectacled bears and current threats faced by them but also to work on environmental awareness among the local inhabitants to prevent the extinction of this unique South American species.
